True REST Float Spa is a brand new business in Gilbert. It’s owned by Dr. Laura Witte who has transitioned from a 15 year career in medicine and academia to pursue her dream of promoting health and wellness in a more holistic modality.

What is flotation therapy? Imagine floating in a big egg-shaped pod filled with 10 inches of water and approximately 1200 pounds of pharmaceutical grade magnesium sulfate (Epsom Salts). The Epsom salts are absorbed easily into the body through the skin while you float for an hour, gravity free.

The most common benefits are pain relief (the Epsom salts calm down inflammation in the body so many people get tremendous relief from conditions such as arthritis, back and joint pain), stress relief (helps to easily go into a deep brainwave state, like a deep meditation–also helps with depression, anxiety and PTSD), and better sleep. The pods are designed to help everyone feel comfortable. If claustrophobic, simply leave the lid open or partially open. There are light and music options to customize your experience.

The water is likely the most pristine water you will ever enjoy. The natural salinity of the water creates a naturally healthy, fresh environment. A state-of-the-art filtration system runs for 20 minutes between each client and all night long. On top of this, a stabilized hydrogen peroxide, ozone and UV light are used to keep the water pristine.
